Two Palestinians injured, homes set on fire in a settler attack in Saflit

SALFIT, October 7, 2023 (WAFA) – Colonial Israeli settlers launched a terrorist attack this evening on the village of Yasuf, located in the occupied West Bank province of Salfit, injuring two Palestinians by live ammunition and setting two homes on fire, according to local sources.

The sources told WAFA that a group of army-guarded settlers from the colonial Israeli settlement of Tappuah attacked Palestinian homes on the eastern outskirts of the village. They set fire to two houses, sparking confrontations between the settlers and local residents who confronted them.

During the confrontations, two Palestinians were wounded by live ammunition and were subsequently transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Five others suffered from the effects of toxic tear gas inhalation used by the Israeli settlers.

This attack is part of an ongoing pattern of violence perpetrated by Israeli settlers in the West Bank, which often results in injuries, destruction of property and increased tensions.
