RAMALLAH, Sunday, September 24, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Sunday stormed Birzeit University, north of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, and detained seven students, local sources confirmed.

The sources told WAFA that the occupation forces arrested the following seven students, including a former prisoner, after storming the university and vandalizing contents and properties.

Birzeit University condemned the occupation forces storming of its campus at dawn today, detain a number of its students, and causing destruction to the university’s properties.

The university confirmed that what happened constitutes a major and clear violation of all international norms and conventions that criminalize violating the sanctity of universities and educational institutions.

It stressed that it's working through lawyers and legal institutions to check on the detained students.
