BETHLEHEM, Saturday, September 9, 2023 (WAFA) – A Palestinian citizen sustained fractures this evening as a result of an attack by Israeli settlers on his family near the town of Al-Khader, in the occupied West Bank province of Bethlehem, according to local sources.
Ashraf Ali Ghuneim, a local Palestinian resident, sustained fractures in both of his legs when a group of Israeli settlers assaulted his family and him while they were in their own land which is adjacent to the colonial Israeli settlement of Neve Daniel, Islam, Ghuneim’s brother, told WAFA.
Earlier today, extremist Israeli settlers launched an attack on the homes of Palestinian residents in the nearby neighborhood of Khalayel Al-Loz. The attack involved live gunfire and the hurling of stones at the homes of local Palestinians in the neighborhood.
Settler attacks like these have become more frequent in recent times, raising concerns about the safety and security of Palestinian civilians living in areas close to colonial Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.
