RAMALLAH, Friday, September 8, 2023 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has welcomed recent statements and positions expressed by several former Israeli officials regarding the suffering of the Palestinian people due to the ongoing occupation and its racist practices.
In a press statement, the Foreign Ministry said it views these voices as positive indicators, hoping that they would evolve into a genuine grassroots action within Israeli society in the way to compel the Israeli government to end its occupation of the lands of the State of Palestine.
"This action," added the statement, "would put an end to all forms and manifestations of the Israeli apartheid system, which successive Israeli governments have been enforcing upon the Palestinian people."
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that "ending the Israeli occupation of the lands of the State of Palestine, along with ending the daily suppression, injustice, and oppression suffered by the Palestinian people, is the correct path to establishing normal relations between the State of Palestine and the State of Israel. It is also the only mandatory gateway to achieving security, stability, and prosperity in the region."
