NABLUS, Saturday, July 22, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers last night opened heavy fire at a car in the town of Sebastia, in the north of the West Bank, killing one person, a teenager, and injuring another before arresting him, according to medical sources.

The ambulance and emergency director of the Red Crescent in Nablus, Ahmad Jibril, said his crews brought Fawzi Hani Makhalfeh, 18, dead to hospital with several bullet wounds.

Palestinian security sources said Israeli soldiers opened heavy fire, said to be more than 40 bullets, at a car in Sebastia with two Palestinians inside, killing one and injuring the other, who was later arrested.

Makhlfeh is the second Palestinian teenager shot and killed by Israeli soldiers yesterday in the West Bank after the killing of 17-year-old Mohammad Bayyad during confrontations in Umm Safa village near Ramallah.

Israeli soldiers shot and killed or caused the death of 204 Palestinians, including 38 children, in the West Bank and Gaza Strip since the start of the year.
