RAMALLAH, Saturday, June 24, 2023 (WAFA) - Minister of Health Mai Alkaila today condemned Israeli settlers' attack on an ambulance carrying a patient near the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah.

She said in a statement that an ambulance operated by an emergency medical center was stoned today by settlers near the village of Umm Safa while it was transporting a patient from the center in Beit Rima to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.

Alkaila said the attack resulted in injuring and bruising the ambulance driver while the patient was miraculously unharmed, noting that divine intervention prevented the ambulance from overturning.

The Minister of Health called on the international community to intervene to protect the Palestinian medical staff and people from the continuous Israeli settler terrorism, which is being done under the eyes of the occupation army and government.

Settlers today, and the for second day in a row, attacked Umm Safa and other nearby villages, setting homes, vehicles and fields on fire to cause as much damage and harm to the unarmed Palestinian civilians as possible.
