NABLUS, Friday, June 23, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Thursday evening sealed off the main entrance to Duma village, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to a local official.
The village mayor Suleiman Dawabsheh said that the occupation soldiers used a bulldozer to erect earth mounds at the western entrance of the town.
Meanwhile, the occupation soldiers closed the metal gate at the road linking Nahalin town to al-Jab‘a village, southwest of Bethlehem, and opened fire towards the villagers of al-Jab‘a who insisted on opening the road, forcing them to take long rough roads to reach their houses.
Israeli severely restricts Palestinians’ freedom of movement through a complex combination of approximately 100 fixed checkpoints, flying checkpoints, settler-only roads and various other physical obstructions.
Closures besides to other measures, taken under the guise of security, are intended to entrench Israel’s 56-year-old military occupation of the West Bank and its settler colonial project which it enforces with routine and frequently deadly violence against Palestinians.
