RAMALLAH/NABLUS, Monday, June 5, 2023 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation authorities seized land and a tractor in the north of the West Bank, today said two different sources.
Amir Daoud, an official in the Wall and Settlements Resistance Commission, told WAFA that the Israeli military authorities announced that it has seized more than 42 dunums of Palestinian-owned land in the villages of Sarta and Brouqin, in the Salfit governorate.
While Israel claimed it seized the land for what it said was “public interest", the real reason, he said, is to expand the settlement road known as Highway 5 to serve the settlement of Beduel built on Salfit lands.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces seized a tractor and detained its driver after breaking into an area east of Beit Furik, east of the city of Nablus, according to Ghassan Daghlas, a local official.
He said the tractor was working on land reclamation when the Israeli forces seized it.
