Israeli forces survey land, uproot olive saplings near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation Wednesday forces surveyed a land and uprooted dozens of olive saplings in the village of Wadi Fukin, west of the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem, sources confirmed.

The head of the village council, Ibrahim al-Hroub, told WAFA that an occupation army force, accompanied by a group of workers, stormed al-Khallah area at the main entrance to the village, surveyed the land and put signs in its vicinity, and uprooted dozens of olive saplings belonging to a Palestinian citizen of the Assaf family.

He added that for four years, the occupation forces have been uprooting olive saplings from the same land whenever the owner planted them, indicating that the village has been exposed to settlers' attack during the last period, which included bulldozing the land and uprooting trees and olive saplings.
