NABLUS, Friday, May 5, 2023 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians suffocated today when they confronted Israeli settlers who broke into the Qaryout village spring, south of Nablus, in order to take it over.

Bashar Qaryouti, an activist, said that a number of settlers stormed the spring under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces who fired stun grenades and tear gas at the village residents who confronted the settler, causing a number of them to suffocate from inhaling the gas.

Meanwhile, dozens of Palestinian protesters suffocated from Israeli teargas during confrontations with the Israeli occupation army in the nearby village of Beit Dajan, local sources said.

Settlers, under army protection, often storm West Bank springs in order to eventually take them over and control the Palestinian water resources.
