JERICHO, Monday, April 24, 2023 (WAFA) - The governor of Jericho and the Jordan Valley confirmed that a Palestinian youth died of the critical wounds he sustained after being shot by Israeli forces at dawn today in Aqbet Jaber refugee camp, in the occupied West Bank city of Jericho.
The governor confirmed during a telephone call with WAFA that he was informed, through the Palestinian Civil Affairs Authority, that a Palestinian youth, who was identified as Slaiman Ayesh, died of the critical wounds he sustained by the Israeli forces' live fire during an Israeli military incursion into Aqbet jaber camp. His body was kept in the custody of the Israeli army.
He said that medical sources confirmed the injury of three others, one of whom was detained despite his injuries.
In the meantime, a Palestinian resident was injured after being run over by an Israeli military jeep in the city of Jericho. He was taken to hospital for medical treatment, where his condition was described as moderate.
Head of the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) in Jericho, Eid Barahmeh, said two brothers were also detained during the military incursion.
