RAMALLAH, Thursday, April 20, 2023 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces detained last night and this morning at least 17 Palestinians, including a journalist and his son, according to various sources.

Palestinian security sources said Israeli forces raided Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem and detained seven people after raiding their homes, including the journalist Usama al-Aiasa, 60, and his son, Jamal, 26.

In the Ramallah area, soldiers broke into the village of Aroura, northwest of Ramallah, and detained a 45-year-old man, and another from the village of Beit Ura al-Tahta after raiding their homes.

In the north of the West Bank, soldiers detained two people from the Nablus governorate, two others from the Jenin governorate, and a former prisoner detained during a raid at his home in Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm.

In occupied East Jerusalem, a Palestinian youth was detained this morning at Damascus Gate, and two others were detained from their homes in their neighborhoods.
