RAMALLAH, Sunday, February 26, 2023 (WAFA) – The ministry of foreign affairs and expatriates today denounced Israeli settlers’ organized terrorism and attacks carried out against the Palestinian people, their land, homes, and holy sites, citing settlers’ recent attacks against Palestinian homes in the town of Burin, south of Nablus.
The ministry, in a press statement, further condemned the Israeli authorities’ takeover of Palestinian land in the town of al-Auja, in Jericho, for the benefit of expanding settlements and random outposts and stepping up the bases of terrorism in the occupied West bank.
It slammed such Israeli violations as part of Israel’s silent and gradual annexation of land in the occupied West Bank and a systematic undermining of chances for the embodiment of the Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, especially in light of the move carried out by the extremist right-wing Israeli government to build thousands of new settler units and allocate more funds to serve settlement activities.
The ministry affirmed the need to stop the Israeli unilateral and illegal measures to restore a political horizon to resolve the conflict, particularly settlement construction, incursions into Palestinian lands and the extrajudicial killings that went along with it.
