JENIN, Thursday, January 12, 2023 (WAFA) – A Palestinian identified as Abdul Hadi Fakhri Nazzal, 18, from the town of Qabatiya, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, who was earlier shot in the chest and neck by Israeli soldiers and reported in critical condition at a hospital in Jenin has died of his wounds, according to the Ministry of Health.
He is the second casualty today of an Israeli army assault on Qabatiya to arrest activists.
Habib Mohammad Ikmail, 25, has earlier died today of wounds sustained from Israeli army gunfire during the raid on Qabatiya.
A heavy exchange of gunfire was reported during the raid leading to five injuries among the Palestinians from Israeli army gunfire, two of them have died, according to the Ministry of Health.
Nazzal is the third Palestinian to be shot and killed today by Israeli soldiers and the ninth since the start of the year, including three minors.
Earlier this morning, soldiers killed Samir Aslan, 41, a father of eight, during an army raid of Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem.
