RAMALLAH, Monday, January 2, 2023 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces detained at least 18 Palestinians during early morning raids at their homes in the occupied territories, according to various sources.

They said soldiers detained two people in the Hebron governorate in the south of the West Bank and six others in the Bethlehem district, north of Hebron, two of them from Aida refugee camp and four from the village of Zatara, east of Bethlehem.

In Ramallah, soldiers raided Amari refugee camp and detained three people, including the brother of Nasser Abu Hmaid, who died last week of cancer while incarcerated in Israel. The fourth was from the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah.

In the north of the West Bank, soldiers detained three people from Nablus city, and a fourth was detained at a checkpoint, south of Nablus.

One was also detained in the city of Salfit, and another was detained from the village of Iskaka, east of Salfit.
