JENIN, Thursday, November 3, 2022 (WAFA) – Two Palestinian men were shot and killed this afternoon and four others were injured, including a child, in an Israeli army assault on Jenin refugee camp in the north of the West Bank, according to various sources.
The Ministry of Health identified one of the dead as Farouq Jamil Salameh, 28, who was shot in the abdomen, chest and head and died shortly after arriving at a Jenin hospital in critical condition.
The second one was identified as Mohammad Samer Khlouf, 14, from the town of Burqin, who died of wounds sustained from army gunfire during the assault.
A large army force raided the camp in the afternoon and surrounded a house where Salameh, whose wedding was in two days, was at. An exchange of gunfire was reported during which Salameh and a second one were killed and four were lightly injured, including an 8-year-old child, according to the Ministry of Health.
Earlier today, two Palestinians were gunned down by Israeli occupation forces, one, 20, in occupied East Jerusalem following an alleged stabbing attack in the old city, and the other, 42, during confrontations in the town of Biddo, west of Ramallah.
With the four killed today, a total of 141 Palestinians were gunned down by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank since the start of the year.
