Presidency describes the Israeli assault on Nablus as a war crime

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, October 25, 2022 (WAFA) – The Israeli military assault on the northern West Bank city of Nablus this morning that left four Palestinians dead and 21 injured, including four critical, is a war crime and the Israeli government bears full responsibility for its consequences, today said presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh.

He said President Mahmoud Abbas, in light of the assault, made urgent contacts to bring a halt to the Israeli aggression on the Palestinians in Nablus.

"Israel must immediately halt its crimes," stressed Abu Rudeineh, calling on the United States to immediately intervene to stop the aggression and end the occupation before things reach a very critical point unimagined by Israel or the US administration.

"We are facing an apartheid state," he added, stressing that the international community, mainly the US administration, must stop the double standard approach when it comes to dealing with Israel.

Four Palestinians were killed in the Israeli military assault on Nablus this morning and fifth youth was killed by army bullets in a village near Ramallah.
