Presidency warns of serious repercussions as a result of daily attacks by Israeli soldiers and settlers

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, October 4, 2022 (WAFA) - The Palestinian presidency today condemned the continuous attacks by settlers against Palestinian citizens under the protection of the occupation forces in the north of the occupied West Bank, especially the attacks on the villages of Hawwara, Beita, and Surra, in the Nablus governorate, which resulted in dozens of injuries, intimidation of children, destruction of property, and cutting off roads.

The official spokesman for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said in a statement that the occupation army and its extremist settlers are waging a daily full-scale war on Palestinian cities, villages and refugee camps, holding the occupation government responsible for the settlers’ continuous terrorist attacks against Palestinian civilians and holy sites, which lead to more tension and escalation, and an explosion in the event they continue.

“We call on the international community and the UN Security Council to intervene urgently to provide international protection for the Palestinian people,” said Abu Rudeineh, stressing that the occupation is exploiting the international silence to escalate its crimes and aggression against the Palestinian people in an attempt to exploit the Palestinian blood in the Israeli elections.

Abu Rudeineh warned of the danger of Jewish extremists’ calls for a large-scale storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and its desecration on Thursday, stressing that “the Islamic and Christian holy sites are a red line, and we will not allow any harm to them at all, and if this Israeli government wants to stop the dangerous escalation currently taking place in all Palestinian territories, it must stop its crimes and put an end to the settlers' attacks.”
