Israeli occupation forces attack participants in a protest against army offenses in Masafer Yatta

HEBRON, Saturday, September 17, 2022 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces today attacked participants in a protest against army offenses al-Tuwani village in Masafer Yatta in the south of the West Bank.

Fouad al-Imour, a local activist, said the activity, organized by the Fatah movement, the Masafer Yatta Defense Committee, and residents and held at the entrance to al-Tuwani, was quickly attacked by Israeli soldiers who fired tear gas canisters at the protesters to disperse them.

The activity was planned to protest a sharp rise in attacks by soldiers and settlers against residents of al-Tuwani and other hamlets in the Masafer Yatta region, which was declared as a firing zone in order to force their Palestinian residents to leave them.
