Dailies highlight death of a young Palestinian from wounds sustained during latest aggression

RAMALLAH, Saturday, August 13, 2022 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic-language dailies focused today on the death of a young Palestinian man from wounds he sustained during the recent Israeli aggression on Gaza last weekend.

They said Anas Khaled Inshasi, 22, died yesterday at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, from critical injuries he had sustained during the recent Israeli aggression.

Al-Quds reported that the Heads of Mission of the European Union and likeminded countries said Israel’s imminent demolition of a school in Ein Samiya community near Ramallah was a flagrant violation of international law.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida quoted EU Representative Sven Kühn von Burgsdorff as saying that the imminent demolition of the school by Israeli occupation forces “amount to the crime of forcible transfer”.

Al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida said despite his critical health condition, Palestinian detainee Khalil Awawdeh remains on hunger strike for 153 days today in protest of his unfair detention without charge or trial by the Israeli occupation authorities.

Al-Ayyam said the State of Qatar has pledged to rebuild the homes destroyed by Israeli airstrikes in Gaza during the recent Israeli aggression on the enclave.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida said two civilians were injured in an Israeli artillery shelling yesterday on the Quneitra Governorate in southwestern Syria.

Al-Quds and al-Ayyam said around 50,000 Muslim worshipers performed Friday prayer yesterday at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida said absentee funeral prayer was held yesterday in almost all of the mosques of Palestine in honor of the martyrs of the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza and Nablus.

Al-Ayyam said 56 Palestinians sustained suffocation from teargas inhalation yesterday during confrontations with the Israeli occupation army at Huwwara military checkpoint, south of Nablus.
