PPS: Israeli forces killed 30 Palestinians, detained 400 from Jenin governorate since start of 2022

RAMALLAH, Monday, August 8, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli forces have killed 30 Palestinians and detained 400 others from the northern West Bank district of Jenin since the beginning of 2022, today said the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

The Israeli occupation forces have demolished seven houses of families of prisoners accused of killing Israelis since January 1 of this year. The demolished houses were distributed as follows: four houses in Silat al-Harithiya town, northwest of Jenin city, another in Yabad town, west of the city, and two others demolished this morning in the nearby village of Rummana.

In addition, the Israeli army rounded up some 400 people, including four women, since the start of this year, said the PPS, adding that 175 prisoners from the Jenin district are serving long prison terms, including 75 who are sentenced to life imprisonment.
