JERUSALEM, Saturday, May 28, 2022 (WAFA) – The European Union (EU) said today it was shocked by Israel’s killing of Palestinian child Zaid Mohammad Ghuneim, 14, yesterday in the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem.
“In the month of May 2022 alone,” said the EU in a tweet, “five Palestinian children died as a result of the continued disproportionate use of lethal force by Israeli forces, bringing the total number in 2022 to 13.”
The EU added, “So far, not a single perpetrator has been brought to justice. Full accountability is necessary.”
“Under international humanitarian law, Israel has an obligation to prevent violence against children and protect their rights.”
