Police attack a protest in an Israeli Arab town against the crackdown on worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque

UMM AL-FAHEM, Saturday, April 23, 2022 (WAFA) – Police last night attacked protesters at the Arab Israeli town of Umm al-Fahem in northern Israel who were demonstrating against the police crackdown on Muslim worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, according to reports.

Hundreds of Palestinian-Israeli residents of Umm Fahem took part in the protest rally, shouting slogans denouncing the police treatment of the worshippers at Al-Aqsa.

Police attacked the rally, firing tear gas canisters at them and causing many suffocation cases.

Palestinian residents of Israel have been holding protests against the police crackdown in Al-Aqsa Mosque, one of Islam’s holiest sites.
