Three COVID-19 deaths in Palestine in 24 hours, 2411 new cases and 558 recoveries

RAMALLAH, Monday, August 30, 2021 (WAFA) – Three people died of coronavirus in Palestine in the last 24 hours as 2411 new cases were recorded, and 558 patients recovered, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila in her daily report on COVID-19 in Palestine.

She said two deaths were recorded in the Gaza Strip along with 1354 new cases and 222 recoveries, while one person died in the West Bank, 1057 new cases, and 336 recoveries.

In addition, 119 people are getting treatment against COVID-19 in hospitals, and 52 are in intensive care while five are on ventilators.

Alkaila said 665,213 people (39.4 percent) have taken the COVID-19 vaccine in the West Bank, as the numbers of vaccinated people in the hard-stricken Gaza Strip continue to rise and reached 220,978 people (17.5 percent).

Active cases stood at 5.1 percent of the total since the outbreak of the pandemic in Palestine in March of last year, while 93.8 percent have recovered and 1.1 percent have died.
