A slight rise in COVID-19 new cases in Palestine with total reaching 162 in last 24 hours

RAMALLAH, Thursday, August 5, 2021 (WAFA) – A slight rise was recorded today in the number of COVID-19 cases in Palestine, with the total reaching 162 in the last 24 hours, said the Ministry of Health.

The West Bank recorded 32 corona cases and 32 recoveries, while the Gaza Strip had 98 cases and 10 recoveries. East Jerusalem recorded 32 new cases. No deaths were recorded anywhere.

According to the ministry, 23 COVID-19 cases are in hospital and 12 are in intensive care, while two patients are on ventilators.

In addition, 495,101 people have been vaccinated against the coronavirus in the West Bank and 109,359 in the Gaza Strip.
