Coronavirus cases down in the West Bank and Gaza, death toll still high

RAMALLAH, Saturday, April 10, 2021 (WAFA) – New coronavirus cases were down today in the West Bank and Gaza Strip as the death toll remained high.

Minister of Health Mail Alkaila said in her daily report on the disease in Palestine that 438 new cases, 16 deaths, and 812 recoveries were recorded in the West Bank over the last 24 hours, while 1064 new cases, 10 deaths, and 600 recoveries were recorded in the Gaza Strip.

She said that 190 corona patients remain in intensive care, while 50 of them are attached to ventilators.

The decline in the numbers seems to be related to the restrictions as well as the number of people getting vaccinated as 108,870 people have been vaccinated in the West Bank against coronavirus and 31,611 people vaccinated in the Gaza Strip.
