Drop in number of daily coronavirus cases in West Bank, while numbers surge in Gaza Strip

RAMALLAH, Saturday, March 27, 2021 (WAFA) – A drop in the number of coronavirus cases in the West Bank was recorded today, while a surge in the new cases was confirmed in the Gaza Strip.

Minister of Health Mai Alkaila said in her daily report on coronavirus in Palestine that the West Bank had 594 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours, 17 deaths, and 1562 recoveries, while the Gaza Strip had 605 new cases, three deaths, and 200 recoveries.

East Jerusalem had 120 new coronavirus cases, three deaths, and 275 recoveries recorded over two days.

Alkaila said 197 corona patients remain in intensive care, including 63 who are on ventilators.

As the vaccination drive against coronavirus continues in Palestine, a total of 45,505 people have been vaccinated so far in the West Bank and 18,598 in the Gaza Strip.
