RAMALLAH, Wednesday, February 17, 2021 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh and Norwegian Foreign Minister Ine Marie Eriksen discussed in a telephone call today preparations for the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee (AHLC) meeting of donor countries scheduled to be held in New York on the 23rd of this month.
"Preparations are underway for the donors' conference, and we have been informed that the United States will participate in the conference," said the Prime Minister.
Shtayyeh also reviewed the Palestinian priorities and financial needs for 2021, with cluster development plans at its core.
He called on Norway to play an active role in creating a new and serious political track based on international law and United Nations resolutions, and the two-state solution that guarantees the establishment of a Palestinian state.
The AHLC is a 15-member committee that serves as the principal policy-level coordination mechanism for development assistance to the Palestinian people.
