RAMALLAH, Monday, February 15, 2021 (WAFA) - Weather today in Palestine is partially cloudy to clear and warm in most districts with a drop in temperature, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department.
Winds are westerly to southwesterly, light to moderate, and sea waves are low.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 15°C and a low of 9°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 14°C and a low of 8°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 14°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 11°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, a low-pressure cold front is expected to affect the country during the evening and night hours. Rainfall and thunderstorms are expected in most areas, together with a significant drop in temperature.
Temperature drops further on Wednesday as the effect of the low-pressure front deepens during the day and night, and rain, thunderstorms and hail are highly expected in most areas. A good chance of snowfall is expected in mountains higher than 700 meters.
Thursday's weather is expected to be windy and very cold as the low-pressure is expected to continue in the region. Therefore, rain, thunderstorms and hail are expected in most areas. A good chance of snowfall is expected in mountains higher than 900 meters.
PMD warned people against the significant drop in temperature, the formation of floods in low areas and valleys, strong winds that could reach 90 kilometers per hour, slippery roads, low horizontal visibility and low clouds.
