RAMALLAH, Sunday, February 07, 2021 (WAFA) – Minister of Health Mai Alkaila announced today that 824 new coronavirus infections, 14 deaths and 528 recoveries were registered in Palestine during the past 24 hours.
In her daily report on the coronavirus pandemic, she said nine deaths were registered in the West Bank, three in occupied Jerusalem and two in the Gaza Strip.
Of the total infections registered, 428 were in the West Bank, including 122 in the central district of Ramallah alone. Meanwhile, 144 infections were registered in the Gaza Strip and 252 in occupied Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, the West Bank had 245 recoveries, while the Gaza Strip recorded 214 cases. In occupied Jerusalem, 69 recoveries were reported.
The health minister said 64 patients of coronavirus remain under intensive care, of whom 14 are on ventilators.
Alkaila pointed out that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far stood at 93.9 percent, while active cases scored 5.0 percent. Deaths stood at 1.1 percent of total infections.
