Weather: Significant drop in temperature as country comes under unstable weather conditions

RAMALLAH, Thursday, February 04, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is unstable with a significant drop in temperature.

Scattered rain with occasional thunderstorms and possibly hail are expected in most areas, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are northeasterly to northwesterly, moderate to strong and sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 9°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 13°C and a low of 8°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 21°C and a low of 15°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 11°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

No change or weather conditions are expected tomorrow, Friday, with scattered rain, thunderstorms, and hail in some areas.

A slight rise in temperature is expected on Saturday, with partly cloudy and relatively cold conditions and a low chance of scattered rain in some districts Another rise in temperature is expected on Sunday as weather conditions become moderate in the mountainous areas, warm in the rest, said the PMD, which warned people against floods in valleys and low areas, strong winds, slippery roads, and low horizontal visibility due to fog formation and low clouds on Thursday and Friday.
