RAMALLAH, Sunday, January 31, 2021 (WAFA) – Minister of Health Mai Alkaila announced today that 403 new coronavirus infections, two deaths and 410 recoveries were registered in Palestine during the past 24 hours.
In her daily report on the coronavirus pandemic, she said two deaths were registered in the West Bank, but none in the Gaza Strip. Alkaila added that there were no updates regarding the situation in occupied Jerusalem.
Of the total cases registered, 278 were in the West Bank and 125 in the Gaza Strip. No updates were available regarding new cases in Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, the West Bank had 175 recoveries, while the Gaza Strip recorded 235 recoveries.
The health minister said 57 patients of coronavirus remain under intensive care, of whom 19 are on ventilators.
Alkaila pointed out that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 93.9 percent, while active cases scored 5.0 percent. Deaths stood at 1.1 percent of total infections.
