Coronavirus in Palestine claims 14 lives, adds 467 new cases, while 686 have recovered

RAMALLAH, Saturday, January 23, 2021 (WAFA) – Coronavirus in Palestine claimed the lives of 14 people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, while 467 new cases were recorded and 686 patients have recovered, today said Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila.

No data was available from East Jerusalem.

She said in her daily report on coronavirus in Palestine that eight of the deaths were in the West Bank and six in the Gaza Strip.

In addition, 181 new cases were recorded in the West Bank and 341 recoveries, while 286 new cases recorded in Gaza and 345 recoveries.

Al-Kaila said 73 coronavirus patients are in intensive care, including 19 on respirators.

She said 93.3 percent of the corona cases since the outbreak in Palestine in March have recovered, 5.6 percent remain active, and 1.1 percent have died.
