RAMALLAH, Tuesday, January 12, 2021 (WAFA) – Twelve people have died of coronavirus in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, 797 new cases were recorded, and 1441 patients have recovered, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila in her daily report on coronavirus in Palestine. No data was available from East Jerusalem.
She said that nine deaths were confirmed in the West Bank and six in the Gaza Strip.
The West Bank recorded 384 new cases, 88 of them were in the Ramallah district, 52 in Nablus, 50 in Hebron, 42 in Jenin, and 32 in Bethlehem. A total of 730 patients have recovered.
The Gaza Strip had 413 new cases and 711 recoveries.
The Health Minister said 92 patients are getting treatment in intensive care, among them 24 are on ventilators.
A total of 90 percent of the corona cases recorded since the outbreak in Palestine in March have recovered, 9 percent are active, and 1 percent have died.
