RAMALLAH, January 01, 2021 (WAFA) – Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Palestine showed a recovery by 12 percent during the third quarter 2020 compared to the second quarter of the same year, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics has said in a report.
PCBS said estimates at constant prices showed an increase of 12 percent in Palestine during the third quarter 2020 compared to the second quarter 2020.
On the other hand, Palestine's GDP witnessed a decline by 11 percent during the third quarter 2020 compared to the third quarter 2019. GDP at constant prices for the third quarter 2020 was $2,902 million for the West Bank and $605 million for the Gaza Strip.
According to PCBS, GDP per capita for Palestine at constant prices was $727 during the third quarter 2020. During this period, GDP per capita showed an increase of 11 percent compared to the second quarter 2020.
As for the West Bank, GDP per capita reached $1,047 at constant prices during the third quarter 2020. It showed an increase by 13 percent during the third quarter 2020 compared to the second quarter 2020.
In the Gaza Strip, GDP per capita reached $294 during the third quarter 2020, and showed an increase by 2 percent during the third quarter 2020 compared to the third quarter 2020.
