RAMALLAH, Sunday, December 27, 2020 (WAFA) – 28 deaths related to coronavirus, 1506 new infections and 1493 recoveries were registered during the last 24 hours in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, according to Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.

Alkaila said in her daily report on the coronavirus in Palestine that 10 of the deaths were in the Gaza Strip, while the 18 others were in the West Bank.

Ramallah district had the highest number of cases in the West Bank where 130 infections were registered, followed by Hebron (106), Nablus (99), Tulkarm (69), Bethlehem (65), Jenin (61), Tubas (26), the West Bank side of the Jerusalem Governorate (25), Qalqilia (23), Salfit (21), and Jericho (10).

The Gaza Strip recorded 554 new cases and 160 recoveries, whereas 317 cases were registered in the Israeli-occupied East Jerusalem.

According to the Health Minister, 112 COVID-19 patients are getting treatment in intensive care units, among them 27 are on ventilators.
