RAMALLAH, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 (WAFA) - Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh received today in his office in Ramallah, the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov on the occasion of the end of his official duties.
Shtayyeh praised Mladenov’s efforts since he took office as UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process to achieve just and peace in Palestine and to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
"The United Nations is the guarantor of international law and legitimacy. It rejected the deal of the century and annexation, and strengthened the Palestinian position on it," said Shtayyeh.
Shtayyeh stressed that resolving the conflict with Israel should be within an international framework such as the international quartet, in accordance with international law.
