RAMALLAH, Monday, December 14, 2020 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas returned today evening to Ramallah after a two-day official visit to Doha, Qatar, where he met with the Emir of Qatar and discussed the latest developments regarding the Palestinian issue.
During the official visit, the President briefed the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, on the latest political developments regarding the Palestinian issue as well as issues of mutual interests and ways to support and promote them between the two brotherly countries.
The president praised Qatar's position in support of the Palestinian people right to regain their undiminished and full rights.
For his part, the Emir of Qatar affirmed his country's position in support of the Palestinian issue and the Palestinian people right to regain their rights and establish their independent state, with Jerusalem as its capital.
The President was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad Malki, head of intelligence Majed Faraj, and Minister Hussein Al-Sheikh, Head of the General Authority of Civil Affairs of the Palestinian Authority.
