RAMALLAH, Monday, December 14, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partially cloudy and mild in mountainous districts and relatively warm in other districts in the morning hours, before a cold front affect the region, causing temperature drop in the midday, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Weather becomes cloudy and relatively cold to cold starting from the midday, with sporadic rain showers and occasional thunderstorms on some districts. Moderate to active southeasterly to southwesterly wind blows in daytime with occasional gusts, while active and dusty southwesterly wind blows in nighttime with gusts. Sea waves are medium to high.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 10°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 18°C and a low of 9°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 16°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 23°C and a low of 14°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A cold depression is set to affect the region on Tuesday, causing temperature to plummet and paving the way to cloudy and cold conditions. Sporadic rain showers, which could be torrential, along with occasional thunderstorms are expected, with the rain intensifying towards the night.
