RAMALLAH, Sunday, December 13, 2020 (WAFA) – A total of 17 deaths from coronavirus, 1639 new infections and 1987 recoveries were registered across the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours, according to Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She said in her daily coronavirus report that 11 people and five others died from the novel virus in the occupied West Bank in the Gaza Strip respectively during the last 24 hours.
Of the West Bank new coronavirus cases, 163 were in the Jenin district, 245 in Nablus, 168 in Hebron, 253 in Ramallah, 127 in Tulkarm, 85 in Bethlehem, 52 in Qalqilia, 31 in Tubas, 29 in Salfit, 18 in Jericho, and 62 in Jerusalem suburbs.
A total of 1987 patients have also recovered, of whom 1287 were in the West Bank and 700 in the Gaza Strip.
Alkaila said 93 patients are under intensive care, of whom 30 are on ventilators.
In the meantime, Naji Nazzal, a spokesman of the Ministry of Health, said today there has been a rapid increase in the number of COVID-19 patients who are in need of intensive care in hospitals across Palestine.
