RAMALLAH, Thursday, December 10, 2020 (WAFA) – Twenty-four people have died as a result of coronavirus in Palestine in the last 24 hours, 2181 people have contracted the disease, and 1953 patients have recovered, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She said in her daily report on coronavirus in Palestine that 13 of the deaths were in the West Bank, seven in the Gaza Strip, and four in East Jerusalem over two days, which recorded 294 new cases and 131 recoveries.
The West Bank had 1301 new cases in the last 24 hours, including 212 in the Hebron district, 193 in the Jenin district, 229 in Nablus, 114 in Tulkarm, 218 in Ramallah, 77 in Bethlehem, and 98 in West Bank villages part of the Jerusalem district. At the same time, 990 have recovered in the West Bank.
Gaza had 586 new cases and 832 recoveries, said the minister of health.
Alkaila said 81 patients are getting treatment in intensive care, among them 24 are on ventilators.
The recoveries reached 77 percent of the overall total cases since the start of the pandemic in Palestine in March, while 22.2 percent of the total are currently active, and 0.8% have died.
