RAMALLAH, Saturday, December 05, 2020 (WAFA) – Fifteen people have died of coronavirus in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, 1422 new cases were recorded, and 1030 have recovered, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila in her daily coronavirus report in Palestine. No data was available from East Jerusalem.
She said 10 people have died in the West Bank, where 838 new cases were recorded, including 197 in Nablus district, Bethlehem, which is getting ready to light the Christmas tree tonight, had 154 cases, Ramallah, the seat of the Palestinian Authority, had 112 cases, Jenin 96, Hebron 84 and Tulkarm 79, among others. A total of 588 have recovered in the West Bank.
The Minister said five people have died in the Gaza Strip, 584 new cases were recorded and 442 have recovered in the last 24 hours.
A total of 69 patients are currently getting treatment in intensive care, among them 20 on respirators.
Of the total cases recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic in Palestine in March, 76.4 percent have recovered, 22.8 percent are still active and 0.8 percent have died.
