RAMALLAH, Thursday, November 19, 2020 (WAFA) – The number of new coronavirus cases in Palestine sharply increased in the last 24 hours to reach 1251, and nine deaths, while 912 have recovered, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She said in her daily report on coronavirus in Palestine that seven of the nine deaths were in the West Bank and the youngest among them was 49 years of age, while two died in the Gaza Strip.
She said 742 of the new cases were in the West Bank, including 238 in the Nablus district, its highest number so far since the outbreak of the disease in March, in addition to 113 in the Hebron district, 90 in the Ramallah area, and 68 in the Bethlehem area.
The Gaza Strip also had 368 new cases and East Jerusalem recorded 141 cases over two days.
A total of 286 recovered in East Jerusalem, 281 in the West Bank, and 345 in the Gaza Strip, said the Minister, adding that 45 patients remain in intensive care, among them 10 on respirators.
