Daily coronavirus report in Palestine: Gaza scores record number with new cases, as West Bank reports 7 deaths

RAMALLAH, Monday, November 16, 2020 (WAFA) – Gaza recorded 453 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, a record number since the outbreak of the pandemic in Palestine in March, while the West Bank recorded 383 new cases and seven deaths, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila in her daily coronavirus report in Palestine. No data was available on East Jerusalem.

In addition, 297 patients in the West Bank have recovered, and 310 in the Gaza Strip. No data was available in East Jerusalem.

The dead ranged in age between 55 and 86 years of age, she said.

In the West Bank, Nablus district remains with the highest number of new cases where 115 have tested positive, followed by Bethlehem with 60 cases, Hebron district 43, and Ramallah had 42 new cases while 126 recoveries.

Alkaila said 44 patients remain in intensive care, including eight who are on respirators.

The recovery rate remains 87.3 percent of the total since March, 11.8 percent remain active and 0.9 percent have died.
