RAMALLAH, Thursday, November 12, 2020 (WAFA) – Five people have died of coronavirus in Palestine in the last 24 hours, 823 new cases were recorded, and 657 have recovered, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila in her daily coronavirus report.
She said three of the deaths were recorded in the West Bank, the youngest was 47 years old, one in East Jerusalem and the fifth in the Gaza Strip.
Of the new cases, 408 were in the West Bank, most of them in the Nablus district where 125 new cases were recorded, followed by 88 in Bethlehem, 57 in the Ramallah district, and 42 in the Hebron district.
The Gaza Strip had 311 new cases and East Jerusalem 104 cases recorded over two days.
The Minister said 353 patients have recovered in the West Bank, 282 in the Gaza Strip, and 22 in East Jerusalem.
Recovered cases since the outbreak of the pandemic in March have reached 88.3%, while active cases stood at 10.9 percent and 0.8% have died.
Alkaila said 40 patients remain in intensive care units in hospitals, including 11 who are on respirators.
