RAMALLAH, Tuesday, November 10, 2020 (WAFA) – Fourteen people have died of the novel coronavirus disease in Palestine in the last 24 hours, 680 new cases were recorded, and 588 patients have recovered, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila in her daily coronavirus report.
She said nine of the deaths were in the West Bank, the youngest was a 16-year-old girl from Deir Dibwan in the Ramallah area, and a 45-year-old man from Qalandia refugee camp near Jerusalem, three were in the Gaza Strip and two in East Jerusalem.
In addition, 393 new cases were recorded in the West Bank, including 111 in the Nablus district, 57 in the Ramallah area, 67 in the Bethlehem district, and 48 in the Hebron district, 191 were in the Gaza Strip, and 76 in East Jerusalem.
A total of 359 in the West Bank have recovered, 189 in the Gaza Strip, and 40 in East Jerusalem, said the Minister of Health, adding that recoveries since March have reached 88.1 percent of the total, while 11.1 percent remain active and 0.8 percent have died.
Alkaila said 40 patients remain in intensive care in hospitals, including 11 who are on respirators.
