RAMALLAH, Thursday, November 5, 2020 (WAFA) – Four people have died of coronavirus in the West Bank today while 582 new cases were recorded and 456 recovered in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, today said Minster of Health Mai Alkaila in her daily report on coronavirus in Palestine. No data was available from East Jerusalem.
The youngest of the four deaths was 57 years of age and the oldest 78, said Alkaila.
In the West Bank, 334 new cases were recorded, the majority were in the Nablus district where 102 cases were confirmed, followed by Hebron with 48 cases, Bethlehem 45, and Ramallah 44. The Gaza Strip had 248 new cases.
The recoveries amounted to 258 patients in the West Bank and 198 in the Gaza Strip.
Alkaila said 87.79 percent of the cases recorded since the outbreak of the disease in Palestine in March have recovered, while 11.36 percent remain active and 0.85 percent have died.
She said 40 patients remain in intensive care in hospitals, including nine on respirators.
