RAMALLAH, Sunday, November 1, 2020 (WAFA) – Minister of Health Mai Alkaila confirmed today that 540 new cases of coronavirus, six deaths and 464 recoveries were registered across Palestine during the last 24 hours.

In her daily report on the coronavirus pandemic, she said six people died due to complications resulting from coronavirus, the youngest of whom was 61 and the eldest was 89.

On the geographic distribution of the new cases, the Health Minister pointed out that 75 cases were registered in Hebron, 103 in Nablus, 39 in Bethlehem, 4 in Qalqilia, 49 in Ramallah, 32 in Jenin, 12 in Jericho, 4 in Salfit, 27 in Tulkarm, 3 in Tubas, 7 in the West Bank side of the Jerusalem Governorate, and 185 cases in the Gaza Strip.

Alkaila said noted a total of 464 recoveries were registered in Palestine, of which 275 were in the West Bank, and 189 in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Health Minister, the rate of recovery has so far reached 88.4 percent of the total cases since the start of the pandemic in March, whereas active cases reached 10.7 percent and deaths stood at 0.9 percent.

She pointed out that 35 coronavirus patients remain in intensive care, of whom eight are on respirators.
