RAMALLAH, Wednesday, October 28, 2020 (WAFA) – Eight people have died of the novel coronavirus disease in Palestine in the last 24 hours, 450 new cases were recorded and 612 have recovered, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She said in her daily corona report that seven of the eight who died were in the West Bank - the youngest was 45 years old and the oldest 77 years - and the eighth in East Jerusalem. No deaths were recorded in the Gaza Strip.
Nablus district had the highest number of new corona cases in the West Bank with 98 tested positive. The Gaza Strip had 100 while East Jerusalem had 30 cases over two days.
The West Bank had 467 recoveries, the Gaza Strip 74 and East Jerusalem 71.
Alkaila said 40 patients are getting treatment in intensive care, among them six are on respirators.
