RAMALLAH, Tuesday, October 13, 2020 (WAFA) – Four Palestinians have died of coronavirus, 516 new cases were recorded and 613 recovered in the West Bank and Gaza, excluding East Jerusalem as data was not available, according to Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She said in her daily report on coronavirus in Palestine that two deaths were recorded in the West Bank for a man and a woman in their 70s, and two in the Gaza Strip, one of them 25 years old from Gaza City, and the second 78 years of age. All, said the Minster, suffered from chronic illnesses.
Alkaila said that in the West Bank, Tulkarm had 104 new cases, while Hebron had 67 and Bethlehem, Jenin and Nablus each had over 50 cases. The Gaza Strip had 73 new cases.
Of the recoveries, 77 were in the Gaza Strip and the rest in the West Bank with 276 recovered in the Ramallah and al-Bireh district.
The Health Minister said 41 patients remain hospitalized and getting treatment in intensive care units, including seven who are on respirators.
